A tween (pre-teen) is a child who’s between the stages of childhood and adolescence. It’s this “in-between” stage that the name “tween” is derived from.

Are you worried about your daughter’s mental well-being?

The “tween” years can be difficult for some children. They are not little kids anymore, but neither are they in the “Teen Club”. Along with the physical changes that occur during this period of pre-pubescence, socially the landscape can look very scary as girls grow and develop at different rates.

A time of change and adjustment.

Some of the major challenges facing girls in this age group are:

  • Fear of menstruation/puberty

  • Friendship issues

  • Bullying

  • Concerns around appearance

  • Social anxiety

  • Fear of the future

  • Worrying about high school

We can help your tween daughter as she adjusts to these physical and social changes.
